Renee Paquette on Big Difference Between WWE And AEW

Renee Paquette is a former WWE Backstage interviewer, and she recently spoke about a major difference between WWE and AEW. Many people believe that AEW is the only wrestling promotion in the world that can beat the WWE. Various AEW stars have stated in the past that they are not trying to compete with WWE and are trying to do their own thing.

AEW’s storylines are vastly different to WWE’s. Unlike WWE, AEW has storylines that have a proper beginning, a middle and an end. Many storylines branch off and wrestlers get in feuds with other wrestlers. The transition is very subtle.

Renee Paquette Compares AEW's Storylines to Those of the WWE

Renee believes that AEW lets fans connect the dots easily when a feud starts. This allows the fans to do research early and find out whether or not they will be interested in the storyline or not.

She believes that the WWE and the WWE fans are very disconnected. Most fans do not know what is the important part of the storyline and some of the feuds simply appear out of nowhere. That is one of the reasons why many fans do not take interest in WWE feuds.

“They [AEW] don’t treat their fans stupid, in terms of not knowing what this is and we’re going to beat you over the head to make sure you understand it,” Paquette mentioned on how AEW and WWE have built two distinctly different and diverse structures.

“I understand the reasoning of why they do that obviously, but I think with smart fans, and the way that people have access to looking into information that they might not know and being able to connect the dots themselves, I think that there’s something really cool about that that people like to have that sense of discovery, rather than being talked to like they don’t understand”.

She then went on to comment about the storylines that sometimes stretch months in AEW. “It’s so layered and so intriguing. There’s really so much to sink your teeth into as a wrestling fan. There are so many deep roots that make the storytelling fun and engaging to watch.

That’s something you don’t get to see in WWE”. Renee Paquette was known as Renee Young in the WWE. She was extremely famous. At one time, there were reports that many news outlets wished to sign her, including ESPN.
