Ruby Soho Speaks About Feeling at Home at AEW

Ruby Soho is a former WWE superstar and she recently spoke about feeling at home at AEW. Ruby Soho was known as the Ruby Riot in WWE. She was part of the Riot Squad along with Sarah Logan. Ruby wasn’t very popular in WWE, but she had a huge set of fans, due to her orientation and being part of the LGBTQ community.

Ruby Soho made it very clear even before leaving the WWE that she wasn’t happy with how the company was handling her. Just like many other former WWE Superstars that didn’t like the company, she too joined AEW.

AEW welcomed her with open arms and she was instantly put in the main event picture for the women’s division in AEW.

Ruby Soho Speaks About AEW Feeling Like Home

She recently spoke with Stephanie Chase of Digital Spy about how she felt when she was in WWE.

“I never thought that I was going to make it to WWE,” Soho said. “At the time that I had started [wrestling], they weren’t hiring women that looked like me. But then, right place, right time, they started hiring people that looked different.

“But I still felt like I couldn’t quite find my place and didn’t quite fit in and then coming to AEW, it was instant. It was immediate, I felt like I was home”. Ruby Soho was released this year in June by WWE.

Her partner, Sarah Logan, was released before her and she is currently spending time with her family, including her newborn child. She made her AEW debut at AEW All Out. She won the Casino Battle Royale as she entered as the last woman.

She can now challenge the current AEW Women’s Champion. Ruby has special praise for the AEW fans, which according to many hardcore wrestling fans is the best group of fans in the wrestling industry right now. “I think one of the best things about AEW is, and why our fans are so amazing, they see everyone on our roster as the most authentic version of themselves and I think they respond to that,” Ruby Soho stated.

“I think that’s why they’re so connected and so rumbustious and so involved is because they can see, this is who this person is and they can relate to that. So I think that’s one of the beautiful things about this place, it’s just a wide variety from all different walks of life, all different kinds of people that are truly true to themselves”.
