AEW's ratings are in sharp decline

According to Mitch Metcalf's ShowBuzzDaily, the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, which returned on Wednesday night, garnered 941,000 viewers for a score of 0.40 in the 18-49 age group. Much higher numbers than the last two episodes of Dynamite which aired on Saturday night.

As for the regular Wednesday timeslot though, this is the first time Dynamite has dropped below one million viewers since August 18. AEW probably needed a week before returning to previous levels, after a couple of weeks away from the usual time slot.

Maybe the World Series and the NBA disturbed his numbers a bit. Perhaps this is related to the fact that Dynamite won't be airing in prime time in certain time zones for a while but anyway, for the time being, Tony Khan's federation will probably be happy with the results and are looking forward to catching up.

Booker T is excited about the 30-minute showdown between AEW Rampage and SmackDown and wants WALTER to be brought in by WWE to beat AEW in the ratings war. This is an interesting piece of data considering that AEW and its offering have come to be WWE's stiff competitors since its inception.
