Injury for Kenny Omega

The pay-per-view of the AEW, Full Gear 2021, took place on 13th November and saw many superstars as protagonists in excellent matches, in pairs, teams and singles, with even belts up for grabs. Unfortunately, during his match against CM Punk, Eddie Kingston may have been injured and that would have led him to miss The Big Event NY Convention on November 14th.

This is the announcement made by the organizing company: "Eddie Kingston contacted us late last night. Due to a shoulder injury in his match with CM Punk last night at the AEW PPV, he will not be able to appear at the Big Event NY Convention today.

He's having his shoulder checked and doing a series of medical tests this morning. If you've pre-ordered any of his meet & greets, you will be refunded later today. Sorry for the inconvenience." Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported: "There was no specific injury occurring from the actual match, but this is more of a case where Kingston is in bad shape for a number of different reasons."

The AEW itself or the wrestler have not yet given the official communication. Former WWE superstar Bully Ray recently talked about the AEW world title match between Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page at AEW Full Gear 2021. Bully Ray feels that Page shouldn't win the belt.

Backstage news on Kenny Omega

As reported by Dave Meltzer in his Wrestling Observer Radio, Kenny Omega has shoulder problems: "I don't know if he doesn't have strength, but he can't lift heavy weights with them [shoulders].

I don't even know if he can lift with them. The last time we talked about it, he said he could lift the bar [of weights]. So that's 45 pounds. He said to me, 'I can do a match without my back." So the former AEW champion faced Hangman Adam Page at Full Gear 2021 with a bad shoulder, still managing to offer an excellent spectacle to the public and support the opponent's work in the ring for the main event of the evening.

Omega and Page went toe-to-toe at Full Gear 2020 in the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament. Omega came out victorious in that match and recently tweeted that the gap between himself and Page had widened. The battle between the former tag team partners will be exhilarating for the fans to watch.

Page's long-term storyline will culminate at Full Gear 2021, where he will have an opportunity to dethrone Omega in the main event.
