In recent months we have seen a lot of comings and goings in the All Elite Wrestling rings, with numerous former WWE athletes who have decided to pursue their careers in the Khan family's company rings, either voluntarily asking for release or simply after being fired.
by WWE in one of the latest release waves in these 3 years of the pandemic. Among the many athletes we have seen confronting the Dynamite and Rampage rings, we find Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Andrade, Malakai Black, Keith Lee and many others, but this week, in the last episode of Dynamite that aired on TBS TV screens from AEW, there is a new face very familiar to WWE Universe fans within the roster of the rival federation, we are talking about the former NXT UK athlete: Toni Storm.
WWE United States Champion Finn Balor sat with SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and her fiance, Andrade El Idolo, at the Hall of Fame ceremony 2022. Andrade previously worked in WWE until last year, when he asked for his release.
Toni Storm made her debut in AEW
Despite saying no at first, the company granted his request, and Andrade eventually moved to AEW. After asking for her release from the Stamford-based company herself, Toni Storm wanted to make her debut tonight in the rings of the rival WWE company, with her face passing through one of the matches of the women's tournament dedicated to Owen's memory.
Hart, Bret's late younger brother, who died under still quite mysterious circumstances in the rings of the then WWF, falling from an impressive height and taking the company's ring over 20 years ago. Toni showed up at Dynamite to go up against The Bunny, in a match that was won by the former WWE, also quite comfortably.
This then turns out to be her on-screen return of her with a big company, following her WWE release. At that juncture, Dave Meltzer had declared that the athlete had resented the fact that he had not been able to have a worthy construction in the company's rings, in his feud against Charlotte Flair, champion of the blue show, with Toni who so preferred to go home, requesting and receiving the termination of his contract.
Now begins a new chapter for the European girl of the WWE, this time, however, in the rings of the AEW. Finn Balor will miss yet another big premium live event this year. The United States Champion is surprisingly not going to compete in a title match at WrestleMania 38. His SmackDown counterpart, i.e., Intercontinental Champion Ricochet, will also miss the Show of Shows.
