AEW: Chris Jericho amazed everyone

MJF enters the ring, greeted by the boos of the audience, and begins to talk about how much he valued CM Punk and how for all these years he had been a great source of inspiration for him. Despite the problems of bullying and the difficulties in relating to other people since he was a child, he never stopped admiring Punk and taking him as an example.

The day he was lucky enough to meet him was one of the best days of his life. But that all changed when Punk decided to leave the business in 2014 and disappoint the whole world, including MJF. We saw the Chris Jericho Appreciation Society members getting off a private jet early on during Dynamite.

We then saw Santana, Ortiz and Eddie Kingston drive up in a car before seeing Angelo Parker and Matt Minard laid out.

Chris Jericho is still in great shape

Later on, we got Kingston, Santana and Ortiz against Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Daniel Garcia in six-man action.

JAS picked up the win after Garcia pinned Kingston. From that moment on MJF decided to distance himself and become better than him in all respects. CM Punk arrives in the ring with a somewhat confused look on his face and asks him if everything that just came out of his mouth is true.

MJF remains impassive and decides to leave the ring with a sad look and some tears running down his face, while the audience keeps booing him and Punk doesn't know what to think. Back in 2017, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho worked on a storyline that showcased a segment – ‘Festival of Friendship’.

To honor five years of that segment, Owens changed his social media profile picture. Reportedly, Jericho and Owens were supposed to battle at the main event of WrestleMania 33. Their storyline and rivalry were one of the most interesting ones that year.

Many fans engaged with it and genuinely believed it had main-event potential. Sometimes, it seemed like Jericho was overshadowing the other younger talents on the stable. Therefore, it’s possible the faction will break up sometime soon since AEW has executed almost every storyline possible with one faction.

Going into this one, most fans expected Keith Lee and 'Swerve' Strickland to win the match. But the crowd was h*t for hometown star Ricky Starks and in the end, Tony Khan made the right decision, booking the Team Taz members to win.
