*Spoiler* Bryan Danielson had some bad news for the fans

Welcome to the first part of the report of the June 22 episode of Dynamite, broadcast from the Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, WI. Big matches and a special announcement from Bryan Danielson ahead of the Forbidden Door.

The episode opens with commentator Tony Schiavone interviewing the American Dragon. Stopped for weeks due to an injury, the whole audience wonders whether or not he had the medical okay to return to the fight. Unfortunately, Bryan turns to fans with bad news: he will not be present either at the PPV on Sunday or at the special episode of Blood & Guts in which there should have been the final showdown with the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Danielson reveals that at the Forbidden Door he was supposed to face Zack Sabre Jr. to decree once and for all the best technical wrestler in the world, but he has decided to name a replacement to the height. The audience and the British wrestler are wondering what his name is, but Bryan is not out of balance.

He will have to wait until Sunday to find out.

Bryan Danielson opened this week's AEW Dynamite

Bryan Danielson opened this week's AEW Dynamite. Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay. The first match of the evening sees Rocky Romero's stable clash, with the addition of Orange Cassidy, against the United Empire.

The face team wins thanks to the decisive pinfall of "Freeshly Squeezed" against Fletcher. At the end of the match, Jeff Cobb and Great O-Khan intervene to help the United Empire, but the FTR will balance the situation.

Backstage we see Jay Lethal, accompanied by Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, addressing Samoa Joe. The wrestler urges him to get back into action and stake the Ring of Honor TV Championship against him. He returns to the ring where we see Tony Schiavone again.

This time the interviewee is Christian, fresh from the sensational assault against Jungle Boy, perpetuated last week. Welcomed by audience boos, Christian admits that he had been thinking of betraying Jungle Boy from the start.

The moment from which it all started? Elimination from the Casino Battle Royale. For months he pretended to be his friend, giving him advice and mentoring him and then showing his true nature. At one point Christian also calls into question Jungle Boy's late father, Luke Perry, stating that if he were still alive he would be embarrassed to see him in this state.

His invitation is to let him stay at home and retire from wrestling at just 25 years old. The music of Luchsaurus resounds who at first attacks Christian, trying to strangle him, but then lets himself be influenced by his positive words, and they leave the ring together.
