Welcome to the report of the first July episode of Dynamite, broadcast live from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, the hometown of the late Brodie Lee. A crackling episode with lots of meat, including a Street Fight valid for the TNT Championship!

But let's proceed in order. The show opens with the aforementioned meeting. Since his turn face against MJF, Wardlow has become one of the most "over" athletes in AEW, proving to the public that he has excellent athletic skills for a wrestler of his size.

Despite the interference of Ethan Page and Adam Lambert, Wardlow throws Scorpio Sky to the ground after numerous powerbombs and obtains the winning pinfall, becoming TNT Champion for the first time in his career! Victory that is greeted by an ovation from the audience.

This is the second time ever that the TNT Championship has changed hands in Rochester. Wardlow was a great friend and supporter of Brodie Lee, so his victory had a special flavor. Backstage Mark Sterling requests the removal of Swerve Strickland from the roster because, according to him, he behaved like a snake.

Christian Cage was out next with Luchasaurus on AEW Dynamite. Cage took the microphone and immediately took a shot at the fans. He then went on to address why Luchasaurus decided to align with him.

Christian Cage accused Matt of riding his brother's coattails for one last run before saying he was an embarrassment to his family.

He added that Matt was now out in the ring to be closer to him. Keith Lee is not there and defends him, still considering him his tag team partner. The cameras move to the ring where we see Christian Cage along with his new ally, Luchasaurus.

The Canadian starts talking but is interrupted by the music of Matt Hardy, visibly upset by what has happened in recent weeks. A very heated verbal altercation begins between the two with Christian even suing his brother Jeff and his well-known problems of alcoholism.

Then there is a fight between Luchasaurus and Matt Hardy, but the physical difference between the two is too obvious. Jungle Boy's former ally grabs Matt and throws him on the comment table with a mighty chokeslam, all under Christian Cage's wry grin.

Backstage we see Tony Schiavone together with Jake Hager and Claudio Castagnoli, the two have had a great time together in WWE. The Swiss reminds him of his team's victory at Blood & Guts and challenges him to a one-on-one match next week, proving to be the better of the two.
