Welcome to the report of the weekly AEW Rampage episode, last stop before the Grand Slam, scheduled for next Wednesday at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. A special show in which the new world champion of the Company will be crowned after the suspension of CM Punk.

Darby Allin vs Matt Hardy The episode opens with a match between two former allies, a clash between generations. Darby Allin wins after a Code Red and Last Supper. At the end of the match the lights go out and we see Brody King and Julia Hart in the ring.

Brody knocks out Matt Hardy with a lariat and invites Sting and Darby Allin to join him in the ring. Brodi King claims that despite having cut off the snake's head (clear reference to Malakai Black, now out of AEW), the venom still flows powerful in the House of Black and challenges Sting and Darby Allin to a NO DQ Tag Team Match next week in Grand Slam!

The two accept. Claudio Castagnoli is in the ring with Wheeler Yuta and is interviewed by Tony Schiavone. The Swiss says he is proud to be the ROH champion and praises the performance of Dax Harwood who collided with him last week.

His promo, however, is interrupted by Chris Jericho, who gets up from the comment table.

Claudio Castagnoli is in great shape

The Canadian reminds him that he is a 7-time world champion and that he has won titles in WWE, WCW and AEW.

Having been some time since he last had a belt around his waist, now he wants to make up and compete for the ocho, or for the eighth world title in his career: that of the Ring of Honor! Jericho then challenges him to a title match for the Grand Slam and Claudio Castagnoli, without any hesitation, accepts.

Willow Nightingale vs. Penelope Ford Quite easy victory for Penelope who subdues the opponent with the Indian Death Lock. Danhausen vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page A real squash in no uncertain terms. Ethan Page beats Danhausen by pin with his finisher.

Backstage an angry Ricky Starks invites Powerhouse Hobbs to be very careful. The two will meet face to face next week in New York. ROH World TV Title: Samoa Joe (c.) Vs. Josh Woods. In the main event of today's episode Joe returns to defend the ROH TV title after months.

It is he who wins after having dusted off the muscle buster. At the end of the match Neese and Woods attack Joe, but TNT Champion Wardlow comes to his aid! And on these images ends the episode of Rampage, appointment at the Grand Slam!
