Tony Khan Speaks About WWE Being on Sale

Tony Khan, the AEW President, recently spoke about WWE being on sale and the possibility of purchasing the WWE. Tony Khan is already running AEW and AEW has hired some very popular former WWE wrestlers. It has been reported that AEW is not doing well in terms of TV ratings.

Even though Tony Khan’s father, Shahid Khan is a billionaire, he does not reportedly have the funds required to purchase the WWE on his own.

According to various reports, Vince McMahon wishes to sell the WWE to the Saudis.

However, the Khan’s can also bid for the company if they actually manage to get the funds required to buy the company. The Khan family currently won Fulham FC and the Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL team). "I am interested in the news that there's potentially a sale process," Khan said on "The Maggie and Perloff Show." "Certainly, I think we've [the Khan family] shown that when there's acquisitions, transactions, we are capable of making the big purchases." Tony believes that Shahid Khan has done a ‘great job’ to build the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham FC.

Tony also stated that his family has proved that they can build a company from scratch with AEW. Tony Khan has stated clearly whether the Khan’s will actually even place a bid to buy the WWE or not yet. The WWE will have a very high value for sure, and many people believe that Tony Khan will not be able to run a company as big as the WWE, as many have already criticized his AEW booking decisions.

Vince McMahon’s return to the WWE has also raised its stock value by a small margin, which speaks volumes about the impact Vince’s presence makes on the company. Khan stated that AEW will always be his main focus and that the entire WWE situation is very interesting.

He also suggested that the Khan’s will be keeping an eye on the WWE situation. "AEW is my main focus," Tony Khan said. "But certainly when that news is out there, I think it's very interesting ... I think, you know, it's very preliminary to talk about that process.

But if there is a process there, which it sounds like there may be, then I'm interested in being a part of it, certainly."
