Swerve Strickland & Prince Nana Talk Mogul Affiliates-Embassy Merger

On a recent episode of "AEW Rampage," Swerve Strickland made a shocking revelation when he announced that his Mogul Affiliates faction had joined forces with The Embassy from Ring of Honor. The unexpected merger took place after Darby Allin's victory against Lee Moriarty.

Strickland confronted Allin on stage, which led to a brutal attack on Allin by Brian Cage from behind. To clarify this new alliance, Lexy Nair conducted an exclusive interview with Strickland, Cage, and Prince Nana, which was later shared on Twitter.

Prince Nana responded to Lexy's question about the apparent Confusion surrounding the merger by saying, "Lexy, Confusion? Confusion? More like a resolution. Because The Embassy, Mogul Affiliates, and Brian Cage, The Gates of Agony — Oh, my gosh, 2023 is just beginning, right, Swerve?" Strickland chimed in with his thoughts, emphasizing that the merger was a strategic move on his part.

He said, "2022, I was the best acquisition of AEW, so I thought it was about my time to acquire, you know, coming up with the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions right now. That was a great decision on my part. That's brilliance. We're a conglomerate, we're an enterprise, and we're just getting started.

How are we going to operate? Like well-oiled machines. We're just getting started, baby. Hoodies up. You're either with us, or you die."

Embassy's Journey to Success

The story of this merger dates back to 2022's ROH Supercard of Honor event, where Brian Cage allied with The Gates of Agony, creating The Embassy.

In December of the same year, during the Final Battle event, the trio emerged victorious against Dalton Castle and The Boys, clinching their first ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship. The Embassy's title reign is still strong, as they recently defeated AR Fox, Blake Christian, and Metalik on March 31.

On the other hand, Swerve Strickland established Mogul Affiliates in December 2022, enlisting the support of former WWE signee Parker Boudreaux and Trench. Boudreaux and Strickland teamed up for the March 3 episode of "Rampage," although Boudreaux has not been seen on screen since that appearance.
