All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has confirmed that Matt Hardy will return to the cinematic ring in next week's "AEW Rampage." The match, dubbed "The Firm Deletion," will feature a cinematic style at the Hardy Compound. Matt will join forces with his recently returned brother Jeff, HOOK, and Isiah Kassidy, as they face off against Stokely Hathaway, Lee Moriarty, Ethan Page, and Big Bill.
The special edition of "Rampage" is scheduled to air at an earlier start time of 5:30 PM ET on Friday. "The Firm Deletion" is set to conclude Matt's ongoing feud with The Firm and marks a significant milestone in his mission to free Private Party from their clutches.
Matt initially aimed to separate Private Party from Andrade El Idolo and RUSH after the Hardy Family Office transformed into the Andrade Family Office. However, in October, The Firm took control of the Private Party's contracts and Matt's, following a match with their contracts at stake.
High Stakes in Firm Deletion
The stakes are high in "The Firm Deletion" as Private Party's contracts with The Firm hang in the balance once more. The private Party will be liberated from The Firm's grasp if the Hardy-led team emerges victorious.
This match was finalized after Hardy outsmarted Page following his FTW Title match against HOOK. Matt's cinematic matches have garnered significant fan praise, dating back to "The Final Deletion" match in Impact Wrestling between him and Jeff.
After their departure from the company, the buzz around "The Broken Universe" attracted considerable attention to Impact Wrestling and the Hardy brothers. Matt even brought the concept to WWE as "The Woken Universe" and participated in the "Ultimate Deletion" match against Bray Wyatt.
However, Matt has hinted that "The Firm Deletion" will differ from previous "deletion" presentations. Fans eagerly await how this latest installment unfolds and what surprises Matt Hardy and his team have for their opponents at the Hardy Compound.
