Natalya Trains with AEW's Miyu Yamashita: Video Released

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Natalya, a veteran member of the main roster for over a decade and a half, recently offered an intriguing peek into her wrestling regimen. Known for her in-ring prowess and training acumen, Natalya has a storied career with two singles championships and a tag team championship.

In her latest endeavor, Natalya revealed an exciting new training partner, Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW) performer Miyu Yamashita. Yamashita, an accomplished Japanese wrestler, has been making a name for herself in the United States, prominently on All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Ring of Honor (ROH) programming.

Natalya Tweets Gratitude to Yamashita

Natalya shared her training experience with Yamashita on Twitter, playfully musing over women's curiosity to train with her despite her challenging week. "I'm so grateful to you, Miyu Yamashita, for coming to my ring and pushing me through some battle wounds," Natalya candidly admitted, referring to her match against Rhea Ripley at WWE Night of Champions 2023, which lasted just over a minute.

While many US wrestling fans will recognize Yamashita from her appearances on AEW and ROH, her most notable bout was her valiant challenge against Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women's World Championship at "AEW Dynamite: Fight For the Fallen 2022", where she put up a commendable fight, despite a loss.

Training at The Dungeon 2.0, a revered wrestling academy run by Natalya and her husband TJ Wilson, Yamashita's influence was more than just as a training partner. Natalya enjoyed learning from Yamashita, admiring her passion and dedication to the sport.

Natalya's openness to learning from wrestling talents from across the globe, particularly in Japan, is a development that has been around for a while. Earlier this year, she mentioned Giulia, a star from World Wonder Ring Stardom (STARDOM), as a dream opponent she'd love to face in the future.

This ongoing enthusiasm for learning and expanding her wrestling repertoire continues to cement Natalya's place as a stalwart in the industry, always eager to embrace new challenges and experiences.
