Andrade El Idolo, the renowned wrestling star set to make a splash on the upcoming AEW Collision show, has taken to social media to address recent reports surrounding his involvement with AEW Dynamite. To set the record straight, Andrade responded to claims that he refused to appear on the show, expressing his skepticism and hinting at potential gossip behind his back.
Following his participation in the Casino Ladder Match at All Out, where he contended against a top-tier talent like MJF, Andrade was absent from the scheduled October 7th episode of Rampage. Reports emerged stating that he had been sent home from the Dynamite taping on October 5th due to a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara.
Despite this setback, Guevara remained on the episode and won the main event.
Andrade's Injury Hampers Ring Return
In a November social media post, Andrade revealed that he had undergone shoulder surgery after sustaining an injury during a match in August.
This injury further added to his challenges in his journey back to the ring. A recent report by Fightful Select shed light on Andrade's anticipated return to AEW. However, it also noted that there have been obstacles along the way, which have delayed his comeback.
According to the report, Andrade was present backstage during the May 10th episode of Dynamite and was initially scheduled to appear in segments similar to Miro and Thunder Rosa. However, it was reported that he expressed reluctance to participate in those particular segments, although the reasons behind his decision remain unconfirmed.
On May 17th, he was backstage again and filmed a social media segment, fueling speculation about his imminent return. Fans can expect to see Andrade competing in the highly anticipated AEW Collision program, slated to debut on June 17th.
Taking to social media, Andrade El Idolo responded to the allegations surrounding his refusal to appear on AEW Dynamite. In a tweet, he expressed surprise at the claims and subtly questioned the reliability of such rumors, alluding to potential conversations happening behind the scenes.
As fans eagerly await Andrade's return to the squared circle, it remains to be seen how his journey with AEW will unfold and what exciting matchups await him on the forthcoming AEW Collision program.
