Jimmy Jacobs Exits Impact, Signs with AEW

Veteran wrestling figure Jimmy Jacobs is making a significant career move, leaving Impact Wrestling to join All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Jacobs was spotted backstage at tonight's AEW Dynamite event in Washington, DC, sparking speculation about his role within the burgeoning company.

A recent report from F4Wonline.com has confirmed that Jacobs is moving on from Impact, joining AEW as a producer. Jimmy Jacobs has been a critical contributor to the wrestling industry, serving multiple organizations in various roles.

He joined Impact in November 2017, significantly shaping the company's creative direction during his tenure. Before Impact, Jacobs stinted as a creative writer for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from March 2015 until October 2017.

His departure from WWE was steeped in controversy after he was let go for posing in photographs with The Bullet Club, who performed an 'invasion' act outside of a WWE RAW event to promote their The Elite YouTube series.

Jacobs' Illustrious Pre-Creative Career

Before his foray into creative roles, Jacobs had an illustrious wrestling career that began in 1999.

His numerous accolades include five reigns as the Ring of Honor (ROH) World Tag Team Champion and one as the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) World Tag Team Champion. Jacobs was inducted into the Indie Hall of Fame earlier this year as a testament to his contribution to the indie wrestling scene.

He also shares a notable history with Seth Rollins, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, having been his tag team partner in their earlier wrestling days. As AEW prepares to launch AEW Collision on TNT this Saturday, Jacobs' addition to their creative team comes at a reasonable time.

His experience and vision will bolster the team that already includes the likes of Bryan Danielson, who has been lending his creative insights to develop Collision's storylines. AEW Wrestling Administration Coordinator Will Washington, recruited in early May, will also provide crucial input for AEW's creative direction. With these concerted efforts, AEW is poised to elevate the wrestling entertainment experience for its fans.
