The highly anticipated Blood and Guts match is making its return on the upcoming "AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts" special, scheduled for July 19th at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. This intense showdown will feature the formidable faction known as The Elite, comprising Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and "Hangman" Adam Page, along with an undisclosed wrestler, taking on the Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita, and a mystery opponent yet to be revealed.
Renowned wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently shared his insights on the possible addition to The Elite's ranks, given the absence of their recent associate Eddie Kingston, who is participating in New Japan Pro-Wrestling's G1 Climax.
Meltzer expressed his thoughts on the matter during an episode of the "Wrestling Observer Radio" show.
Elite's Final Member Revealed?
According to Meltzer, The Elite has one more member to select for their team. He highlighted a noteworthy promo by Kenny Omega, which was delivered off-air and exclusively to the audience present in Edmonton.
Interestingly, the promo was not recorded for "Rampage" and took place after the show had concluded. During the promo, Omega narrated a story that aligned with expectations, alluding to his absence during a particular week.
Although he didn't specify his location at the time, he hinted at visiting an old friend. The crowd in attendance at Edmonton's venue responded with fervor, chanting the name of Japanese wrestling sensation Kota Ibushi. Notably, Omega didn't refute the crowd's speculation, fueling the anticipation that Ibushi might indeed make an appearance in Boston.
Should Kota Ibushi join forces with The Elite at "AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts," it would undoubtedly be a thrilling surprise for fans worldwide. Ibushi's presence would further elevate the already high-stakes encounter and add an additional layer of excitement and intrigue to this anticipated clash.
As the countdown to the event continues, fans eagerly await confirmation regarding The Elite's mystery partner and the culmination of this intense rivalry inside the Blood and Guts structure.
