Konnan Claims Top AEW Stars Now Unmotivated & Stale

From its very inception in 2019, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has been graced by the remarkable presence and undeniable influence of The Young Bucks. Both as Executive Vice Presidents (EVPs) and as top-tier wrestling stars, the duo has been a driving force behind the brand's growth and its expanding global impact.

Their paramount importance is underlined by the announcement of their high-profile match at AEW's inaugural UK event, 'All In', where they'll face World Tag Team Champions FTR, in a much-anticipated third face-off. The intricate relationship and comparison between The Young Bucks and FTR transcend the squared circle, becoming fodder for commentary and analysis.

This dynamic was recently dissected by the hosts of "Keepin' It 100," Konnan and Disco Inferno. Disco underscored an intriguing aspect: despite having the clout as EVPs, The Young Bucks seemingly resist placing themselves as the central highlight of AEW shows.

On the contrary, he observes that FTR unabashedly portrays themselves as "top guys" in every conceivable aspect.

Konnan Questions Bucks' Motivation

Konnan, taking the baton from Disco, shared a more critical insight. "They don't seem motivated," he remarked, reflecting on The Young Bucks' recent demeanor and performance.

He praised their in-ring prowess but felt a discernible dip in their backstage segments. "Their recent promos lack the usual spark. To be honest, they've seemed a bit stale lately." These observations aren't the maiden remarks from Konnan on the subject.

Just last month, he hinted at a perceived drop in the duo's enthusiasm, commenting that they seemed less "motivated." He further theorized, drawing from their body language and overall disposition, that they might be contemplating a move away from AEW, potentially even joining the ranks of WWE.

However, any such speculations were recently quelled. AEW fans were elated to learn that The Elite — a formidable faction consisting of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and "Hangman" Adam Page — have all inked long-term commitments with AEW.

Still, only time will tell if the underlying sentiments expressed by Konnan and Disco hold merit or are mere passing observations.
