In recent developments surrounding the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) roster, wrestling legend Arn Anderson provided insights on the current status of his son Brock Anderson's contract with AEW. Speaking on his dedicated podcast "ARN," during a candid "Ask Arn Anything" segment, Anderson shared that Brock's contract is slated to conclude by the end of August.
"His contract? Not renewed as of now. But it's up at the end of this month," Anderson remarked. "The close of August, to be precise. We're still in anticipation. I genuinely hope for the best. I mean, take young talents like Brock or even Taz's son.
They're budding with potential yet still waiting for their big break. My aspiration is for things to pan out positively so we remain part of the AEW family."
Brock's TNT Championship Showdown
Fans might recall the most recent onscreen interaction between father and son during the August 12 edition of "AEW Collision." On that occasion, Brock squared off against Luchasaurus for the coveted TNT Championship.
The setup for this matchup stemmed from Arn Anderson's intervention during a promo by Christian Cage, a wrestler with whom Anderson has some shared history, particularly from his managerial stint with Wardlow. Before Brian Pillman Jr.'
s AEW tenure concluded this past July, he and Brock showcased their synergy as tag team partners. Notably, prior to the "Collision" bout, Brock's preceding AEW match was alongside Pillman Jr., where they competed against The Gunns duo – Austin and Colten Gunn.
This match unfolded on May 13 at the special AEW House Rules event. Wrestling aficionados would remember that Brock initially entered the AEW fray under a developmental contract back in 2021. His wrestling skills were honed at the famed Nightmare Factory, a pro wrestling school run by Q.T.
Marshall and Cody Rhodes. Fans were treated to Brock's AEW debut on the June 18, 2021, edition of "Dynamite." On that night, he partnered with Cody Rhodes to clinch victory against Aaron Solo and Marshall.
