Over the years, we have seen many wrestlers perform devastating moves. Some of the most devastating moves over the years have been modified or banned altogether. There are other moves over the years that have been abused and overused.
Bully Ray Doesn't Want to See Moves Being Overused During a Wrestling Match
Bully Ray, who was at one time one of the most popular tag team wrestlers in the world, recently spoke about The Canadian Destroyer on the Busted Open Radio.
Canadian Destroyer is now used as a transition. "In my opinion, the Canadian Destroyer was one of the best original finishing moves I've ever seen," Bully said. His co-host Dave LaGreca also stated that he loved the move. "I've seen the move over the past couple of years start to get overused, start to get prostituted, start to get watered-down.
Then I saw what I saw the other night ...," said Bully. Bully expressed disgust by what was displayed on AEW Dynamite last Wednesday. During a match between Orange Cassidy and Penta El Zero Miedo the two wrestlers kept exchanging the same move, over and over again.
It became boring at one time. "When I first saw it, I thought it was the most devastating thing I'd ever seen," LaGreca reiterated. "How many more moves are we just gonna throw away?" Bully asked. According to Bully, veteran wrestlers should step in and stop the young wrestlers from performing moves that may lose their charm and become boring.
“Veterans have to stop allowing young wrestlers to just do whatever they want because it's wrong. Veterans have to do a better job policing and educating." Bully believe that the veterans should explain to the young wrestlers why they shouldn’t do the things that they are asking them not to do.
As young wrestlers may have egos and they might do exactly the opposite of what the veterans ask them to do. Bully Ray was at one time part of one of the most popular tag teams of all time. He was actually part of The Dudley Boyz.
During the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era, they were used regularly. Their rivalry with the Hardy Boyz to this day is considered to be one of the best rivalries of all time. Bully is mainly known for his podcast work now, as he is no longer as active as he was as a wrestler at one time.
