Fuego Del Sol is a former AEW wrestler. He was part of the locker room when CM Punk was still working for AEW. At one time, CM Punk was the most popular wrestler in the world. In fact, many people believe that AEW Collision was created for CM Punk, as he couldn’t perform in Dynamite and Rampage, due to his issues with The Elite.
CM Punk was suspended for a backstage brawl with The Elite once during his AEW run. He was given a second chance, which he squandered as well, after he allegedly put Jack Perry in a headlock backstage after he taunted CM Punk during one of Jack’s matches.
CM Punk’s contract was terminated after he did that, and he is no longer part of AEW.
Fuego Speaks About Differences Between CM Punk and MJF
MJF on the other hand is AEW’s home grown talent, and has become one of the most popular wrestlers in the world.
Fuego, who is no longer part of AEW, spoke about the two polarizing figures on YouTube. "People aren't going to like me for this, but if I'm honest, I'm not a fan of this guy, to be for real. When I say I'm not a fan, I should reiterate that I try to never let my personal opinion get in the way of someone's actual talent.
He's talented as all hell, incredible promo guy," Del Sol said of MJF. "However, early on in AEW, even before I got signed, he gave me one weird disparaging remark in front of a lot of people backstage, but it was off-handed.
I'm sure he [doesn't] even remember it — I do though. Some people are going to go out of their way to critique you or congratulate you or help you out, he kind of stuck to himself in that regard, and never really talked to me.
So, I don't think we're each other's cup of tea." Even though his interaction with MJF was less than ideal, Fuego believes that MJF is a very talented performer. Fuego was actually allowed to vent out to Punk, after Fuego suffered a foot injury.
He stated that Fuego was in a dark place as he was recovering. According to Fuego, Punk helped lift his spirits. "He did not have to reach out to me and talk to me as much as he did, so he will always be a friend in my book. I like CM Punk. I hope the best for him in whatever he decides to do next," Del Sol said.
