Tournament Details and Competitors

The AEW Continental Classic is a round-robin tournament featuring a lineup of top-tier talent from the world of professional wrestling. The tournament will culminate at the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30, where the winner will be crowned as the inaugural AEW Continental Champion.

Notable competitors already confirmed for the tournament include Bryan Danielson, Andrade El Idolo, Mark Briscoe, and the reigning ROH World Champion and NJPW Strong Openweight Champion, Eddie Kingston. The tournament will be divided into two groups, each comprising six wrestlers.

Participants will vie for victory, with three points awarded for a win, one for a draw, and none for a defeat. The top performers from each group will advance to the finals, set to take place at Worlds End. Excitingly, Continental Classic matches are slated to unfold across multiple AEW shows, including "Dynamite," "AEW Rampage," and "AEW Collision," over the upcoming weeks.

Furthermore, during an exclusive interview at the AEW Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view this past weekend, Eddie Kingston pledged to defend both the ROH World Championship and NJPW Strong Openweight Championship in every tournament bout he competes in.

This bold declaration adds an extra layer of intrigue to the tournament, as the Continental Classic winner could potentially walk away with three prestigious titles, making it a must-see event for wrestling fans worldwide.

Stay tuned as AEW continues to raise the bar in the world of professional wrestling with thrilling tournaments and electrifying matchups.
