Ronda Rousey, the renowned former WWE Women's Champion, has been making waves in the professional wrestling circuit, but she has made it clear that her career ambitions are now steering towards a more balanced path. Following her departure from WWE after an impactful 18-month tenure, which concluded with a significant match against Shayna Baszler at WWE SummerSlam, Rousey has been exploring opportunities beyond WWE's realm.

After a brief hiatus, Rousey resurfaced in the wrestling scene at an independent event in October, signaling that her departure from WWE was not an end to her wrestling journey. This appearance wasn't just a fleeting moment; Rousey continued to engage in the sport, participating in another match three weeks later for Pro Wrestling REVOLVER.

There, she teamed up with Marina Shafir against Ring of Honor Women's Champion Athena and Billie Starkz. Though the match concluded without a clear winner, it wasn't the last the fans would see of this dynamic.

Rousey's Surprise ROH Victory

Rousey's next significant appearance was on Ring of Honor TV, where she once again joined forces with Shafir.

This time, they emerged victorious against Athena and Starkz. This appearance was particularly surprising, as there were no prior hints of Rousey competing in that event, despite reports of her being backstage. However, despite these appearances and her ongoing involvement with wrestling, Rousey has expressed reservations about joining AEW (All Elite Wrestling), a sister promotion to Ring of Honor.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Rousey negated the possibility of signing with AEW, stating her current focus on family and her role as a full-time mother. This sentiment aligns with her recent wrestling engagements, all of which occurred in Los Angeles, her hometown, minimizing travel and aligning with her family-first approach.

Tony Khan, AEW President, commented on Rousey's status, acknowledging their discussions but emphasizing that there are no concrete plans for her to sign with AEW. He mentioned the potential for a one-off match to generate interest, eventually tying back to Ring of Honor, where Athena holds the championship.

As Rousey continues to balance her professional aspirations with her personal life, fans remain intrigued by her career trajectory. While her full-time commitment to AEW may not be on the horizon, her sporadic appearances in the ring continue to captivate audiences, showcasing her enduring impact on the world of professional wrestling.
