In a stunning turn of events at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's (NJPW) "Battle In The Valley" pay-per-view, Jack Perry, previously a prominent figure in AEW (All Elite Wrestling), made an unexpected appearance that left fans and insiders alike buzzing.

The event, which featured a high-stakes match where Shota Umino, Fred Rosser, and Jacob Fatu emerged victorious against Team Filthy's Tom Lawlor, Royce Isaacs, and Jorel Nelson, took an unforeseen turn when a masked individual attacked Umino post-match.

This assailant was soon unmasked to reveal himself as none other than Jack Perry. Perry's actions didn't stop there. In a defiant gesture, he produced what appeared to be his AEW contract and proceeded to rip it to shreds in the middle of the ring.

This dramatic act was not just a display of rebellion but also a clear message, indicating a significant shift in Perry's career trajectory. Notably, Perry also donned a beard and a black armband inscribed with "Scapegoat," hinting at a new persona or nickname he may be adopting in this next phase of his wrestling journey.

Perry's Controversial Return

This appearance marks Perry's first major public engagement in the wrestling world since the AEW All In London event at Wembley Stadium in late August. That event was noteworthy for Perry's pre-show loss to HOOK and a subsequent backstage altercation with fellow wrestler CM Punk.

The fallout from this incident led to Perry's indefinite suspension and Punk's termination from AEW, a decision reportedly influenced by AEW President Tony Khan's concerns for safety. Interestingly, reports indicate that Perry's suspension was lifted some time ago, but he had been awaiting a suitable creative direction before making a television comeback.

Speculation had previously swirled around Perry's potential role as "The Devil" within AEW, a theory that was eventually dispelled when Adam Cole was revealed to be playing that character.
