Scotty 2 Hotty Teases Potential AEW TV Match

Scott Garland, known to wrestling fans worldwide as the electrifying former WWE Superstar Scotty 2 Hotty, recently made a surprise appearance in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Garland teamed up with Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed in an AEW dark match just before the "Dynamite: New Year's Smash" taping.

This appearance has sparked considerable speculation about his potential involvement in AEW's televised events. In a candid conversation on the "AEW Unrestricted" podcast, Garland opened up about the possibility of stepping into an AEW ring for a televised match.

While he confirmed that the idea has been floated, he emphasized the importance of the right context and timing for such an appearance. Garland is excited about the prospect, but he insists that any involvement in the ring should be meaningful and purposeful.

"I mean, you know, it was talked about, right? The idea is exciting to me, I just want it to be for the right reason, I want it to be for the right thing," Garland said. His stance on a full-time return to wrestling is clear: it's not on the cards.

However, Garland is open to the idea of wrestling selectively, particularly if it helps elevate emerging talents and contributes positively to the show. He sees potential matches as opportunities to create memorable moments, rather than just another bout on the card.

Balancing Roles in AEW

Garland also highlighted his commitment to his current role as a backstage producer, a responsibility he takes seriously. He is keenly aware that juggling in-ring performances with his producer duties could dilute the effectiveness of his work behind the scenes.

Therefore, any decision to wrestle on AEW TV will be weighed carefully against his primary role. "I want to elevate somebody, I want to elevate the show, create a moment, I don't want it to just be a cold match if we do it.

I don't want to just go out there and have a match. It has to be the right thing. My first job here is to be a coach and producer; I don't want to split my time doing both. I feel like it hurts my job as a producer," Garland added.

Fans and insiders alike are watching closely, intrigued by the potential of seeing Scotty 2 Hotty bring his unique brand of energy and charisma to AEW's television audience. As discussions continue, the wrestling world waits in anticipation to see if and when Garland will make his mark on AEW TV.
