In a poignant remembrance that touches the heart of the professional wrestling community, Dax Harwood of FTR pays homage to the late Jay Briscoe on the first anniversary of his untimely passing. Harwood's tribute, a blend of personal reflections and iconic imagery, offers a glimpse into the life and legacy of Briscoe, whose tragic death left an indelible mark on the industry.

Harwood's commemoration, shared through social media platform X, features a collection of touching moments captured in photos and video. The first image presents a candid, behind-the-scenes look at Harwood, alongside his tag team partner Cash Wheeler, and the Briscoe brothers, Jay and Mark.

This intimate snapshot, taken backstage, epitomizes the camaraderie and respect shared among these exceptional athletes.

Unity After Battle

Following this, Harwood unveils a striking image from the aftermath of their intense Dog Collar match.

The photo captures a rare moment of unity and mutual respect, as the four wrestlers share a drink to honor their hard-fought battle. This scene, steeped in the raw emotion and physical toll of their profession, stands as a testament to their dedication and the enduring bonds formed in the ring.

Additionally, Harwood includes a video snippet showcasing a fierce exchange of blows between him and Jay Briscoe, highlighting the intensity and skill that defined their encounters. This brief but powerful clip serves as a fitting tribute to Briscoe's prowess as a performer.

The Briscoe Brothers and FTR's rivalry culminated in a trilogy of memorable matches in Ring of Honor (ROH) throughout 2022. Their first face-off at ROH Supercard of Honor set the stage for a thrilling Two Out Of Three Falls rematch at ROH Death Before Dishonor, followed by the unforgettable Dog Collar match at ROH Final Battle.

Tragically, this would be Jay Briscoe's last match, as he passed away less than a month later, in a devastating car accident on January 17, 2023. The accident, a heartbreaking event, occurred when an oncoming vehicle crossed the median and collided with Briscoe's car.

Miraculously, his two daughters, who were with him, survived the crash. In the wake of this tragedy, Mark Briscoe has soldiered on as a solo wrestler, recently showcasing his talents in AEW's Continental Classic tournament, where he secured a victory over Jay Lethal, a longtime ally of the Briscoe Brothers.
