All Elite Wrestling has been going through a rough time recently. AEW is still the second largest wrestling promotion in the US, based solely on star power. However, they have been struggling to get good ratings and have been criticized by some of the most popular wrestling critics such as Jim Cornette for bad booking.

A Large Number of AEW Talents May Have Been Released Recently In First Mass Cut

Many people believe that Tony Khan is the reason why AEW is not doing as well as it could due to bad booking. He has also signed a few wrestlers to multi-million dollar deals.

Many people believe that Tony Khan should not sign wrestlers to multi-million dollars if the company isn’t making profits. Many people believe that AEW has only lost money, especially due to investing in the development of the video game, AEW Fight Forever.

The recent report about AEW releasing multiple talents should not surprise anyone. According to the report from Pro Wrestling Insider, AEW may have released 10 talents. Most of them are from Ring of Honor, reportedly. According to PWI, Ring of Honor is undergoing a talent evaluation.

So these releases might be in the interest of the company, as they might have released stars that are not required by the company. However, this is the first time that AEW did mass cuts since it started in 2019. This is the list of stars that may have been released: - Stu Grayson - Dasha Kuret - Anthony Henry - Gravity - Jose the Assistant - Slim J - Parker Boudreaux - Jora Johl - The Boys (aka the Tate Twins)

According to the report, some AEW originals were released.

Grayson is or was an AEW original. He signed alongside his Super Smash Bros partner, Evil Uno. They were part of the Dark Order. Grayson left the company in May 2022 after his contract expired. He returned to the company in March 2023.

Kuret is a wrestler that signed in 2019. She did Spanish commentary and ring announcing. She also made her in ring debut when she teamed up with Rachael Ellering to perform in the AEW Tag Team Tournament in 2020. Henry was reportedly also released who was a part of the Workhousemen with JD Drake.

They were supposed to fight at the AEW Tag Team Champion Tournament. Henry broke his jaw recently so he probably couldn’t compete anyway.
