Recently signed AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm was the buzz in the post-show media scrum of AEW Dynasty. Storm, who put her title on the line against Thunder Rosa, didn't mince words discussing former co-workers Cody Rhodes and Triple H.

Storm, however, is one of the most influential figures in the wrestling industry, noted by the time she first spent in WWE. She joined the company in 2018 and just months into her professional wrestling debut, Storm would later compete for the NXT Women’s Championship, hence featuring in the main event scene.

She later lost the match to Shayna Baszler, but that never deterred her effort as she will later bear fruits of determination when she overcame Rhea Ripley for the NXT UK Women’s Championship. By 2021, Storm departed from WWE, just as her career with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was picking up.

Storm's Defiant Statement

This all came after Storm successfully retained her AEW Dynasty title against Thunder Rosa in a match that set up her no-nonsense comments nicely. Quite a fair contrast to her boss Tony Khan, who drew on Rhodes' own memorable WrestleMania XL win, when he welcomed Triple H into the ring.

"Tony, I swear to God, no matter how many of these matches I win, and no matter how many stories I get outta here, I would never call you in the ring to celebrate with me," she said. This statement underscores Storm’s independent approach and her desire to stand alone in her victories, distancing herself from the collaborative celebrations seen in other wrestling promotions.

In addition to her comments about Rhodes and Triple H, Storm also addressed her opponent's recent challenges. Prior to their bout at AEW Dynasty, she critiqued Thunder Rosa’s capacity to handle the pressures of championship fame, suggesting that Rosa’s back injury was a result of her inability to bear the ‘mountain of gold.’ As Storm continues to dominate the women’s division in AEW, fans are eagerly anticipating a potential showdown with Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE.

Such a match would not only be a significant draw but could also further cement Storm’s legacy as one of the formidable champions in women’s wrestling. This evolving narrative in AEW adds an intriguing layer to the dynamic world of professional wrestling, as Toni Storm solidifies her status as a powerhouse champion with each title defense.
