As Kip Sabian marks his 32nd birthday, the former DDT Heavymetalweight Champion and one of AEW's original signees has made a public appeal for his return to the wrestling spotlight. Having been noticeably absent from recent All Elite Wrestling programming, Sabian last showcased his talents on AEW's "Dynamite" in March, following a brief hiatus since January.

On X (formerly Twitter), Sabian expressed his gratitude towards AEW for consistently acknowledging his birthdays over the past five years. However, his message hinted at more than just gratitude. Sabian playfully suggested that it might be time for the "future legend" to make a comeback.

His tweet read, "Thanks work, 5 years of these. Think it's time the future legend comes back right people? 🤔#SuperbadSZN."

Sabian's Rocky Road

Since his debut at AEW's inaugural event, Double or Nothing, in 2019, Sabian's journey has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows.

Despite a memorable first match where he faced off against former AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara, titles have eluded him. His recent match on March 8th on "Rampage" saw him team up with The Butcher, only to face defeat against the now-disbanded duo of Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta.

Behind the scenes, The Butcher praises Sabian for his inventive approach to the business, often bringing unique ideas that stand out. Yet, unlike many of his AEW comrades who have captured various titles, Sabian's quest for gold has seen challenges.

He has vied for the International Title (previously known as the All-Atlantic Title) and made an ambitious, albeit unsuccessful, attempt at the AEW World Trios Championship with The Butcher and The Blade. On a personal note, Sabian's life off the ring has had its share of personal challenges.

Married to fellow AEW talent Penelope Ford in 2021, the couple faced the heartbreaking experience of a miscarriage. Despite this, both have found solace and support in their professional environment, which has aided in their emotional recovery.

With his latest public overture on his birthday, Sabian is not just reflecting on the past but is keenly looking towards a future where he reclaims his place in the AEW narrative. As the wrestling community watches, they are left wondering if the higher-ups will heed Sabian's call, allowing the "future legend" to once again captivate audiences worldwide.
