Mark Henry's AEW contract is reportedly nearing its end, casting uncertainty over the WWE Hall of Famer's future with the promotion. AEW President Tony Khan recently addressed this during a media call for Double or Nothing but did not provide a definitive answer on the contract's status.

Despite the ambiguity, Khan expressed his admiration for "The World's Strongest Man." "I really like Mark. I'd have to look at that internally, but I think Mark's a great person, and I really personally like him. He's a great media personality, as well as a great wrestler and philanthropist.

I have a ton of respect for Mark. He's been great in AEW, and I respect him both in and out of the ring. Thank you very much," Khan stated.

Henry's AEW Roles

Henry, who signed a multi-year deal with AEW in 2021, has played various roles in the promotion.

He has been an analyst, announcer, interviewer, and scout, becoming a familiar face on "AEW Rampage" for his enthusiastic main event promotions. Beyond AEW, Henry is also known for his contributions to "Busted Open Radio" as a wrestling pundit.

The question of whether Henry will renew his contract with AEW remains open. This uncertainty comes at a time when AEW has been engaging in cost-cutting measures. The company conducted its first significant round of cuts in April, releasing talents such as Stu Grayson, The Boys, and Parker Boudreaux.

Henry's potential departure would mark a significant change for AEW, given his multifaceted role and presence within the promotion. Fans and insiders alike are watching closely to see if the respected veteran will continue his journey with AEW or explore new opportunities in the wrestling world.

The future of Mark Henry in AEW is still up in the air, and only time will reveal the next steps for this accomplished wrestler and media personality. For now, his contributions to AEW remain highly valued, and his presence continues to be felt both on-screen and behind the scenes.
