The last time we saw MJF in AEW was at AEW World's End in the match where he lost the AEW World Title to Samoa Joe and suffered the revelation of The Devil, under whose mask his friend Adam Cole was hiding, and since then he has completely disappeared to solve some physical problems.

Five months later, he made a surprise appearance at AEW Double or Nothing to take out Adam Cole for revenge, before telling the crowd that he was finally done with gimmicks and also wanted to get rid of the Devil Mask, because he doesn't need it, just like he doesn't need Vince McMahon or NJPW, because nothing can help him be who he is if not himself, before revealing that he had a tattoo of a casino chip with AEW written on it and the words "Bet on Yourself" around it, before declaring that he will not leave AEW, words obviously linked to the fact that there was talk of his contract expiring at the end of 2023 with everyone in doubt about whether he would renew it or not.

MJF's incredible physical transformation

One of the most interesting and appreciated profiles of All Elite Wrestling and the entire Pro Wrestling panorama in recent years is certainly that of Maxwell Jacob Friedman, also known by the acronym MJF, one of the pillars of Tony Khan's federation.

We saw him for the last time at AEW World's End in the match in which he lost the AEW World Title against Samoa Joe and suffered the revelation of The Devil, under whose mask his friend Adam Cole was hiding, and since then he has totally disappeared to solve some physical problems.

As we have seen, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is back in great shape and he also confirmed it via an Instagram post comparing two photos: one of him after his match with Samoa Joe in December 2023 and one of him upon his return to AEW DoN 2024.

The wrestler explained: “For those of you who are wondering. The left side is me after my match with Joe. My left shoulder was so mangled that I couldn’t lift it above my head. I couldn’t even do cardio because the slight swing of my arms was excruciatingly painful”. The wrestler thanked fitness and nutrition expert Adam Pfau for helping him.
