Another familiar foe for Jack Perry on AEW Collision. This segment continued the celebration for when Perry won back at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, and he immediately followed that up by making an open challenge to any potential challenger on Collision this Tuesday, July 6.

Much to everyone's surprise, the challenge was then answered by former AEW superstar Marko Stunt. Stunt and Perry came in together, back when they paired with Luchasaurus to form the Jurassic Express all the way back in 2019.

The collision was a Mississippi event, so there would be no surprise that Stunt received the hometown hero's welcome! Note: An effort is made by him to bring down the new champion but in vain. This win by Perry did an even better job of cementing his legend status and he was able to successfully retain his title.

Stunt's Surprising Return

In March 2022, Stunt departed from AEW after he was not re-signed. His final match for the promotion was in September 2021. The fan-favourite wrestler certainly made a big return with this surprise appearance.

Only days removed from his blitz of Daniel Garcia. forbidden door-breaking NJPW and ROH presence! MJF was then shown playing the music of World Title Branton Gold and who used it, whether Will Ospreay was back in Japan or not.

MJF never let up on the British ace and referred to Page as a two-faced coward. The main event saw Hangman Adam Page advance to the Owen Hart Cup finals by defeating Jay White. Christian Cage gave White a Spear in the closing seconds of the match to make sure that he would be down for 3-count, ultimately sealing his win.

Collision was a must-see episode of wrestling television with its many exciting angles and shock returns. Notable recent happenings: Perry's successful title defense against Stunt, Page moving on in the Owen Hart Cup with a victory over Paige, and more.
