Debuting in a losing effort to Mercedes Mone at AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door, Stephanie Vaquer still leave Long Island victorious with the universal admiration of pro wrestling fans. Kacy Catanzaro was reportedly offered a deal by AEW and WWE; with her impressive showing catching the eye of many.

It appears that this curiosity has inched towards being action. A joint press release from CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling has confirmed that will not longer be working for both promotions, as were under contract with both companies due to personal reasons.

As a result, she will be forced to vacate the CMLL Women's and Womens Tag Team Championships. Also Vaquer will not be at this weekends CMLL/NJPW FantsticaMania USA as she was supposed to defend against Lluvia. The scheduled bout, however, will now turn into a triple-threat match to crown the new CMLL Women's Champion between Lluvia vs.

Vaquer's Potential Signing

Reports are going around that Vaquer leaving CMLL may provide a sign she's on her way either to AEW or WWE. We also saw reports on Fightful Select that discussions were under way with both wrestling giants about the women's star, and others at AEW feel as though she will end up signing.

Such an agreement has yet to be confirmed, at least publicly. Growing up in San Antonio, Valparaiso, Chile Vaquer came to CMLL the previous year where he enjoyed some early success over several years. But it wasn't until a summer in 2023 that truly blew up, marked by the rave reviews she earned for her battle against Mone at New Japan Resurgence back in May.

Her success continued as later in the fall, she won both the CMLL Women's Championship and was one-half of the reigning women’s tag team champions, solidifying her rapid ascent to become a dominant force within professional wrestling.

The coffee of interest continues to simmer over one more attention grabbing topic this past week for our money, still Stephanie Vaquer is the name in wrestling everyone's ears are perking up about.
