During the July 10th, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite, PAC won a title shot at the International Championship, which he held in the past, defeating Tomohiro Ishii, Kyle Fletcher and Claudio Castagnoli in a Global Four-Way Match. The wrestler had come to victory with his Black Arrow over Kyle Fletcher before subjugating him.
Later, when All Elite Wrestling had made official a match for the International Championship between MJF champion and his challenger Will Ospreay for AEW All In, PAC had clearly said that he was furious about this, Since he was theoretically destined for that match title as number one contender, and at that point it was simply logical that the next pay-per-view would face the champion who would come out with the belt from that fight and so will do.
Will Ospreay to defend the International Title
It was officially announced that Will Ospreay would defend the International Championship against PAC at AEW All Out, after he himself tore that belt from MJF’s waist at the Wembley event in London. When Tony Khan introduced this belt, it was actually called the All-Atlantic Championship, and the first champion to be crowned was PAC at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
To compete for the then brand new AEW title in the night of Forbidden Door, wrestlers had thought: PAC, Miro, Malakai Black and Clark Connors, in a Fatal 4-Way composed for 3/4 by former WWE athletes, with the winner being one of them. After a very hard fought contest, the English PAC had managed to hit first Malakai with his formidable Black Arrow, then manage to make him give up with his devastating submission finisher, making vain any kind of attack of the brutal Miro, that he was one of the most highly rated winners of the evening.
Will PAC be able to regain the belt that he started? Will he be able to become a double champion after winning the Trios titles at All In? Only time will tell, but we are sure it will be a great match.
