The animosity between wrestling legends Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage is a well-known issue in the industry. What a lot of fans probably don’t remember is how this rivalry spanned into TNA Wrestling during the company’s infancy. Savage’s introduction to TNA happened in November 2004 at the end of the company’s first monthly pay-per-view titled Victory Road.
From there, he remained in the organization until the end of the calendar year. Hulk, on the other hand, became a TNA member many years later, in 2009. Yet, there were intentions for Hogan to come into TNA at around the time when Savage had a short stint.
Jeff Jarrett Reflects on TNA Deals
During a recent episode of his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett founder TNA and held there two legendary wrestlers, gave exclusive features on TNA: A Past to Remember. The Vice President of the promotion also stated how those deals went about on narrating, Had I not had been the lead on Randy if that is whom I am going to presume to have taken the lead on, and creatively, I am going to presume that we are going to set up a six man tag team match. My gut says I was the lead on Randy, and my father was on Hulk.
The relationship between Hogan and Savage in TNA started boiling over rather quickly. Apparently, Jarrett reports with sheer features that, Savage departed for TNA because he believed that his working conditions would be engineered, by the wrestler he hated the most, Hogan. All of these fueled tensions throughout TNA’s Production for Savage as he saw two wrestlers as nuisance.
In the overall trajectories of TNA’s roster history, both Savage and Hogan left a stain in their legacy due to their full time contracts with TNA never becoming a reality. Due to these unfulfilling expectations, Hogan had to leave WWE after everything fell apart in the debut year of TNA 2005. Still, some would say his dream would have come true one day after switching, previously stating some morale support not having the need to use it in excess.
