Darby Allin on Being Homeless for a Year

There are many professional wrestlers that struggled for many years before being signed by a big promotion such as the WWE, WCW or AEW. Some of them were even homeless and had to work really hard to get recognized in the world of professional wrestling.

Darby Allin is one of those wrestlers. He is a former indie wrestler and wrestled for various promotions. He is now part of the awesome All Elite Wrestling promotion. Since AEW is a place for indie wrestlers, he will have a chance to really showcase his skills and become a fan favorite over there.

Darby was a guest on the Talk is Jericho podcast. The podcast is owned by Chris Jericho who is the current AEW World Champion. Darby spoke about living in his car for a while as he didn’t have a home. "Yeah, I was living in there for, like, a year-and-a-half" Allin recalled.

"Atlanta [Georgia]. Yeah, I started wrestling in Seattle [Washington]. Then, I moved to Florida once I signed to EVOLVE, and from there, I moved to Atlanta because I didn't feel like I was getting out of Florida what I wanted training-wise, so I just left and went to all these different schools around the country, and just living in my car." All Elite Wrestling has so far been able to beat WWE NXT on a few occasions.
