On 21 April 2019, Dustin Rhodes' landing in All Elite Wrestling was made official and he would face his brother Cody in Double or Nothing. At the end of the match, Cody came out victorious, then asked his brother to partner him for his future tag match against the Young Bucks.
Between WWF/E and WCW, Runnels has won 23 total championships. In WCW, he was a two-time United States Heavyweight Champion, a one-time Six-Man Tag Team Champion, and a two-time World Tag Team Champion. In WWF/E, he is a three-time Intercontinental Champion, nine-time Hardcore Champion, one-time World Tag Team Champion, and two-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
Runnels has also appeared in the second most Royal Rumble matches, at 13. On The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, Rhodes talked about the emotions from the segment: “It was really cool being out there and looking in my brother’s eyes and us bringing the people along for this ride with us and Cody did a tremendous job.
He is doing so good with everything he touches right now. He really has come into his own. He’s got his own pair of boots and he’s taking the world by storm and I’m very proud of him, I’m glad to be here, it’s an honor, it’s still fun, I’m still passionate, I help out the kids and I have training sessions with the ladies every single Wednesday before everybody gets there and I teach these kids how to do promos and teach promo classes."
