AEW Revolution finished a while back. According to some AEW and general wrestling fans, it was a good PPV event. Even some journalists praised All Elite Wrestling for organizing this PPV event. Some of the matches were very well crafted and offered brilliant entertainment.
After the event, Tony Khan, current AEW President, help a media scrum. He spoke about a variety of topics. He revealed that he is happy with what AEW has produced so far. He also stated that there was only one segment that he wishes he could re-do in 2020.
"Literally, I can think of maybe one segment that I could have back in the whole year, that's really saying something, I mean, we're a full two months in," Khan said. "I didn't think we needed all the 'hoo-ha' around Riho and [Kris] Statlander in Memphis.
But it's in the beginning of the year, you're like, 'You gotta do a better job at stuff.' You go on a diet, right out of the gate, day two you screw up. [Laughs]" He was talking about the Riho and Statlander segment which didn’t take place.
Riho was with AEW Women’s Champion at the time. Statlander couldn’t challenge her at AEW’s Homecoming epsiode that was held on the 1st of January as she has other commitments. Riho instead defended her title in a Fatal 4 Way Match against Britt Baker, Nyla Rose and Hikaru Shida.
