AEW Dynamite Beats NXT by A Huge Margin

We are now at Week 24 of the Wednesday Night Wars. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite was the clear winner this week as they managed to beat NXT by a very large margin.

Dynamite garnered 932,000 viewers on TNT. NXT managed to get 542,000 viewers on the USA Network. According to ShowBuzz Daily, it is a 72 per cent difference.

AEW was at number 20 in Cable Top 150. NXT was at 81. AEW took the 65th position in viewership and NXT took the 85th position.

Last week, 766,000 viewers were drawn by Dynamite. It was ranked number 25 in Cable Top 150, and 75 in viewership. NXT had 697,000 viewers last week and was at number 72 in Cable Top 150.

NXT just drew its lowest viewership number ever since it began airing in the USA Network. It started airing last year. Before that, it was a Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Network show.

AEW has a rating of 0.35 in the 18-49 demographic. Meanwhile, NXT had a rating of 0.16 in the same demographic.

Last week, AEW had a 0.26 rating and NXT had a 0.21 rating.

The Coronavirus pandemic had a huge impact on both shows this week. NXT aired with Tim Phillips and Triple H doing interviewing Rhea Ripley, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor. There were no matches and no crowd at that time. Dynamite moved its show to the Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. There was no live audience, but a few wrestlers were there to provide some crowd noise.
