"When Conrad [Thompson] reached out to me I said, 'hell yeah!'" Bischoff said.

"Why not? No harm, no foul. It will be fun. And it was fun. But that's the extent of it. There's nothing going on behind the scenes or anything like that." Khan stated in the past that he learned a lot from WCW.

Khan knew what he must not do in order to succeed in the professional wrestling business. Bischoff criticized Khan for spending a lot of money to compete with WWE’s Developmental Brand. Bischoff revealed more details about why he said that.

He also stated that he has changed his mind about Khan and the AEW. "They are far more likely to be successful than I possibly would've given them credit for being, had I not had the opportunity to hear directly from Tony," Bischoff admitted.

"[It was] not to hear from him and realize how smart he was. There was never any question of that. But hearing his real, genuine passion for the business probably impressed me more than anything." Bischoff made his return to the world of professional wrestling last year when he joined WWE again as the Smackdown Executive Director.

He only held the position for a few months before being released by WWE. He revealed that he might not work with AEW or return to professional wrestling anytime soon. "I sincerely doubt it," Bischoff said. "I don't know what they would need me for.

They've got a good team. They're doing great. Tony's having a blast producing the show. He's surrounded by a lot of really talented people." He also stated that Khan will not speak to him anytime soon, even though their conversation was fun.

"I haven't talked to Tony since," Eric Bischoff revealed. "I don't expect I will anytime in the near future unless we happen to cross paths, which is very unlikely. No, we just had a conversation."
