One of the most important and sensational events of the last few weeks was certainly what happened in All Elite Wrestling where the Tony Khan federation announced the arrival of Paul Wight, WWE legend and best known in the company of Vince McMahon with the name by The Big Show.
This choice literally amazed all the insiders and subsequently the company, during the last Pay Per View, AEW Revolution, also announced the arrival of Christian, a WWE star in the past and now known by the old name by Christian Cage.
During an interview with Renee Paquette's microphones in Oral Sessions, the former wrestler really talked about many issues and one of them was about who he wanted from his former federation now in AEW.
Mark Henry on Paul Wight joining AEW
Speaking with Renee, also a former WWE presenter, Paul Wight clarified: "Honestly there is one person that I really miss in the wrestling world, but I don't know if he will be back in the fight again, the person in question is Mark Henry.
I love him and I think someone like him would be great here because he has a really great eye for talent for the wrestling world. This is something not everyone knows and appreciates because Mark actually shows a totally different character in WWE.
He is indeed a very deep man and is certainly smarter than what people imagine. He knows everyone and there is an endless list of wrestlers that he has helped improve, helped them become fighters, helped them get into the teams they wanted and improved them on the microphone.
Mark Henry is truly incredible and has a truly huge heart. For me, it would be great to see him in All Elite Wrestling (AEW)." Mark Henry and Paul Wight have a great relationship and the WWE legend had recently commented on the passage of the now-former Big Show in the rival company, here are his words: "He is like a brother, he's the closest I've had in wrestling and I'm glad he went where he feels really appreciated, I hope he can show everyone his talent once again." Mark Henry and Paul Wight have battled it out in the ring in the past, but behind the curtains, the two are close friends.
Henry recently reacted to Wight's move to AEW and stated that he wants his friend to "get his just due". Mark Henry has been part of WWE since 1996 and is currently a member of WWE's talent development team. Henry hasn't wrestled in WWE since 2018 when he took part in the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. Henry said that he wants to have another match just to match Big Show's record of wrestling in four different decades.
