Matt Sydal Leaving Impact Wrestling?

Impact Wrestling has seen better days. In the mid and late 2000s, Impact Wrestling managed to sign some of the wrestling industry’s biggest legends. Sting, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff are just a few of the big names that joined Impact Wrestling.

These days, Impact Wrestling is not considered a big promotion. Ring of Honor and NJPW are growing and giving Impact Wrestling a really hard time. It is true that Impact Wrestling still manages to sign some of the popular indie wrestlers, but not always.

Matt Sydal, a former WWE wrestler and until recently an Impact Wrestling wrestler, might leave Impact Wrestling for either All Elite Wrestling or the WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Radio, his contract with Impact Wrestling expired on the 1st of January, 2019.

He is currently a free agent. Matt Sydal had to take some time out to get his knee repaired. He tore cartilage in his knee and required surgery. He is schedule to be back in action in April. Matt Sydal worked for the WWE at one time.

This was back in 2007! He won the WWE Tag Team Title during his run with the company. He used his high flying move to capture the hearts of many fans of the promotion. During his time with the NJPW, he won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title twice.
