Braun Strowman was fired from WWE on June 2, 2021, along with colleagues Aleister Black, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett, shocking the entire WWE Universe. The only appearance he made immediately after this sad event was on the night of October 1st, on the show "Free The Narrative II: The Monster In Us All", against another ex from the McMahon-owned company: EC3.
More recently, the following was reported about his possible return to WWE by Ringside News: “A regular member of the (WWE) Team told us that 'if WWE had made an offer to Braun Strowman, he would immediately return to the fold.
' Obviously this did not happen." According to the latest reports, Braun Strowman has been spotted meeting up with IMPACT Wrestling Executive VP Scott D'Amore.
Backstage news on Braun Strowman
According to PWInsider colleagues, Adam Scherr, real name of Braun Strowman, would have met with Scott D'Amore, well-known executive of IMPACT Wrestling: “Last night Adam Scherr met Scott D'Amore of IMPACT Wrestling at the hotel bar for Motor City Comic Con in Detroit, Michigan.
We were told that the two sat for a long time with Scherr arriving to meet D'Amore, who was waiting for him." Could it be Bound For Glory, the company's next pay-per-view that will air on October 23, 2021, the right place to debut the Monster that Walks Among Men? His release from WWE caused many to turn their noses up, such as Cena Sr.
who said, “I really don't understand why they decided to release a superstar like Braun Strowman. We are talking about a guy who has unlimited potential. When WWE hired him, he was convinced he had taken on a generational talent.
[…] I can only say that it was a big mistake. If AEW or New Japan Pro Wrestling miss a champion like that, I have to start thinking that there is something strange about this business." Beyond his "Free the Narrative" project with EC3, Braun Strowman hasn't done anything wrestling-related since being released from WWE this summer.
Many thought, with Mark Henry and Paul Wight being in AEW, that Strowman might end up in Tony Khan's promotion. But if last night's rumored meeting is any indication, IMPACT Wrestling could very well be the front runners to sign the former WWE Universal Champion.
