Impact Wrestling announces the date and venue of its next special

Slammiversary isn't the only upcoming event for Impact Wrestling. It is certainly the most important in the "vicinity", but the company already has future plans ready and that is why it has made official the news of the return of Against All Odds.

On July 1st, the special will be broadcast on Impact Plus and YouTube through the Impact Ultimate Insiders subscription service. Obviously, the event will also be visible for those who choose to buy it individually on the Fite TV website/application.

It is the first time since the last two-year period 2011/2012, in which the event in question will be staged for two consecutive years. In fact, last year the famous match valid for the Impact World Championship was recorded between the then champion, Kenny Omega and the challenger Moose.

The Canadian triumphed thanks to the fundamental help of his trusted friends, the Young Bucks (who reappeared for the occasion in front of the cameras of Impact, seven years after the last time). Omega, after four months of reign, then lost the title in the first episode of the history of AEW Rampage against Christian Cage, also under contract with AEW.

Impact Wrestling has big plans

Big Cass, aka W. Morrissey, made his Impact Wrestling debut in April 2021 and has had a tremendous 14-month run with the company. But reports are suggesting that it has come to an end. The athlete under contract with Impact capable of "bringing home" the belt, was Josh Alexander in Bound For Glory 2021, overcoming Christian.

The venue of the event will be the Center Stage in Atlanta, an arena with approximately 1,050 seats where WWE, through the NXT brand, has also played some TV tapings and live events in the past. Speaking of tapings, Impact will also remain at the aforementioned venue the following day for a series of registrations called Southern Hostility.

It will therefore be interesting to understand what the follow-up from Slammiversary will be, the PPV that on June 19 will celebrate the twenty years of activity of the Canadian federation broadcast every Thursday on AXS TV and also available thanks to its various streaming subscription services, or those already mentioned for the purchase of the special Against All Odds.

This will seemingly be a fitting end for Morrissey as he and Moose have been attached at the hip for a good majority of his run in IMPACT Wrestling, both as allies and adversaries.
