The Good Brothers' contract is close to expiring

According to what leaked from some sources, the current tag team champions of Impact Wrestling, The Good Brothers, will see their contract expire after the current weekend. The rumors of recent days saw the couple have renewed their agreement until the end of the summer, which led to the presumption of their possible future involvement in the most important event of the year for the company, Bound For Glory.

Apparently, however, this is not the case and both "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are therefore expiring. Karl is also currently the holder of the NEVER Openweight title won against Tama Tonga in Dominion, the notable summer PPV for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The team in question has been under contract with Impact since July 2020 with its debut during the eighteenth anniversary of the Canadian federation, Slammiversary. The two have so far won the Impact duo titles three times, an element that leads them to be duo champions for eight faces thanks to their further victories between WWE (title of RAW ed) and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

What will The Good Brothers do?

Former WWE and IWGP Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers hinted at a possible return to AEW ahead of "contract season." How will the Canadian federation behave in this regard? Will he be able to snatch a renewal (short or long term) or will he have to say goodbye to two of his most dominant champions in the category? At the moment we are not aware of any further details on the matter, but we will continue to follow everything with the right attention also thanks to the TV tapings underway for the Scott D'Amore staff.

Tapings are being held in Louisville, KY to prepare weekly broadcasts for the definitive Emergence card. Emergence will be the next Impact special broadcast on August 12th from Chicago's Cicero Stadium and can be seen live on Impact Plus, Impact Ultimate Insiders and Fite TV.

The Good Brothers walked through the forbidden door to provide a helping hand to The Elite in AEW. "I'm gonna go with The Good Brothers because I think these guys are very entertaining. I did their show once bro, they had me on this show. I had an absolute blast" - Vince Russo said.
