In a recent in-depth conversation on the Shining Wizards podcast, notable New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) star Bad Dude Tito touched on various topics. These ranged from his experiences working with IMPACT, his time with The Mighty Don't Kneel (TMDK), and his ambitions to participate in Japan's esteemed G1 Climax tournament.
Tito's Induction into TMDK
Reflecting on his experience of joining TMDK, Tito expressed his profound respect for the team, acknowledging their immense influence on his wrestling journey. He was genuinely taken aback by the invitation to join the distinguished team, viewing it as an affirmation of his grit and skills.
He said, "They took me under their wing, taught me the Japanese style, and showed me Japan. Their acceptance was akin to being endorsed as a formidable contender in the ring - an honor I don't take lightly." Commenting on his stint with IMPACT, Tito showed great enthusiasm for the organization and expressed a desire to return if welcomed.
A self-proclaimed Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) fan, Tito appreciated the presence of ECW veterans in IMPACT. Their positive feedback on his performance was a significant motivator for him. He shared, "When individuals you look up to commend your work, it's a huge confidence booster.
It reassures me that I'm on the right path." Tito voiced his interest in a rematch with Ace Austin and Chris Bey, confident that his experience as a heavyweight would tip the scales in his favor. Despite not cutting this year's G1 Climax, Tito remained optimistic and determined.
He had hoped to participate in some of the tag team events this year, but his absence from the G1 lineup has only fuelled his ambition. "I'm always hungry and striving to deliver the best matches," he affirmed. "If I can maintain this momentum and consistently excel in New Japan, there's a strong chance that next year could be my year." Tito's unwavering dedication, combined with his deep respect for the art of wrestling, is a testament to his journey in professional wrestling. His ambitions for future NJPW events signal exciting times for fans and the professional wrestling community.
