Jeff Jarrett is known as one of the best professional wrestling promoters of all time. He was a very famous wrestler in WCW and the WWE. However, he was mostly known for his backstage work. He was known to work with various talents and help younger talents get better.

Jeff Jarrett Talks About The Various Factions He Was a Part of In TNA

Jeff Jarrett was associated with TNA for nearly a decade. He was part of a few factions in TNA and was also a leader for some of them. He was a part of Planet Jarrett, Front Line and The Immortal. However, he wasn’t part of the most famous TNA faction of all time, Aces & Eights.

Aces & Eights dominated TNA for a very long time. The leader was WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, for most of its existence. Jeff spoke about the various factions he was a part of in TNA on the ‘My World’ podcast. Jeff revealed that Eric Bischoff was the mind behind Aces & Eights. He stated that Eric was concerned TNA’s future offscreen which prevented Jeff from being a part of Aces & Eights.

"In TNA, there was never any...certainly wasn't an attempt, but there wasn't a close fit for me in Aces & Eights," Jarrett said. "I was doing a different thing, and that was a long story in a lot of ways. But Bully...I guess you could say Bully and Eric heavily invested in that story...obviously my on screen talent was one thing, but offscreen, I was really heavily invested in the financial aspect and the wellbeing [of TNA].

"And TNA was headed in the wrong direction during that time, from a behind-the-scenes point of view...if I remember correctly, Aces & Eights, it probably had a year run from 2012...and I think it went into 2013. But the financial death spiral that the company was going in, [so] I was much more dialed into that. And that's when me and Toby [Keith] kind of started the conversations, and...as you know, TNA went on the road, went back off the road. I had a lot different mindset and focus on that, and it was not my onscreen character."

TNA Wrestling was the only alternative that wrestling fans had after WCW went out of business. They never came close to beating the WWE in anything, but they managed to sign some high profile WWE legends and wrestlers to work for them.
