Before the last match of the evening, we are also offered the award ceremony of the new NXT North American Champion Isaiah Scott who, in the company of the entire Hit Row crew, celebrates to the sound of rap and freestyle.
So here we are at the last clash of the evening that sees the commitment of 2 athletes who have been chasing each other for months and who have already had the opportunity to challenge each other in a devastating Unscheduled Match that saw the underdog of the situation bring home the victory.
We are obviously talking about the rivalry involving Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. SINGLE MATCH: Adam Cole vs Kyle O'Reilly; It goes without saying that we are witnessing a match where neither of us has the slightest intention of giving way to their respective rival.
We see O'reilly trying to embarrass his opponent by hitting him repeatedly in the leg before being knocked down with a back stabber which is followed by a pin attempt that does not go beyond the 2 count. The two are literally exhausted with Cole, however.
still the energies for a bit of verbal war. O’Reilly, however, does not want to speak and starts to attack, forcing Cole to the corner where he starts hitting him in the head. Cole manages to dodge one of the blows and then hit the mark with a superkick with which he knocks Kyle off balance causing him to fall badly to the mat.
The amazing clash between Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly on NXT
After NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, it seemed like Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole couldn't do anything more to each other. Their Unsanctioned Match went too long and bordered on overkill at multiple points.
That is why their match at The Great American Bash was a pleasant surprise. Unhappy, the former leader of the Undisputed ERA begins repeatedly banging Kyle's already sore leg against the steel steps. The dispute returns to the ropes again with Cole who, albeit with difficulty, manages to take the reins of the dispute by reaching the Panama Sunrise which, however, is initially rejected by O'Reilly who however lands on the already sore leg accusing heavily the shot.
Cole then takes the opportunity to try again the Panama Sunrise which this time is successful. Not happy Cole also scores with Last Shot. The referee can only count to 3. Result: Adam Cole's pinfall victory. With this result the score of this rivalry goes 1-1.
We will therefore see if and when there will be the clash that will decide the end of this long but beautiful feud born from the ashes of one of the best stable that has trod the ring in recent years.
