An important NXT segment has been canceled

Other changes for NXT, after the change of look, name, design, setting of the show and the place where the athletes perform from week to week, there are also changes in the script. According to reports from Fightful Select, WWE would cut a backstage segment for its NXT 2.0 this week: “There were plans that changed before the show.

We were told that several new female recruits were in the pipeline for a behind-the-scenes segment that ultimately failed." The episode included an in-ring segment at the start of the show where the new male superstars were introduced, but a segment for women was completely skipped.

How is the new NXT doing?

According to what is reported by the Wrestlenomics website, which deals with all the numbers relating to the most famous wrestling companies in the world, the first episode of the new NXT would have totaled an average of 770,000 viewers, of which a third would be part of the demographic that ranges from 18 to 49, which is the age group that WWE and pro-wrestling companies in general aim for the most.

Now it remains to be seen whether for this week and the following the show will continue to thrill the fans, but it must be said that this breath of fresh air is not displeasing. Ultimately we are seeing a lot of new talent coming out of the recent Performance Center classes, who are proving to be good and very motivated in the ring and on the microphone.

Especially the women's division, which has certainly been hit the most by the various layoffs and moves to the main roster, is picking up a bit, with a Mandy Rose on fire also proving to be an excellent leader of her new stable Toxic Attraction.

But also among the men, there are new faces to keep an eye on, so it is certainly important to pay attention to what is proposed in the shows. WWE NXT 2.0 opened this week with NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa in the ring with a bunch of new stars, including Bron Breakker, as he addressed the future of the former black and gold brand.

This led to interruptions from Cameron Grimes, LA Knight, Pete Dunne, and Ridge Holland. The main event saw Bron Breakker team up with Tommaso Ciampa to take on Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland. We also saw Roderick Strong become the new Cruiserweight Champion after beating Kushida, albeit with some assistance from his Diamond Mine teammates.
