NXT: Malik Blade attacked Joe Gacy

Now it is the turn of the male TAG Team category with the title up for grabs in the next match. NXT TAGE TEAM TITLE LUMBERJACK OR LANTERN MATCH: Imperium vs MSK (C); The meeting is very interesting with both teams ready to do anything to bring home the result.

We see Aichner loading both opponents on his shoulders and then crashing them to the mat with a somersault. The clash continues with Carter scoring a cutter on Barthel from the top of the stake landing on the extras positioned at the ringside.

Malik Blade attacked Joe Gacy with a dropkick before the bell rang. But once the match got underway, Gacy had control of proceedings. Gacy sent Blade outside the ring before Harland walked out and caught Malik by the throat.

Joe Gacy def. Malik Blade

Joe Gacy got in Harland's way and calmed him down, making him let go of Malik Blade. Back in the ring, Gacy hit a huge Handstand Lariat before picking up the win. The imperium then tries to score the Imperium Bomb with the MSK who manage to wriggle out and then get one step away from the final pin.

However, Imperium has no intention of giving way by deciding to step on the accelerator by focusing exclusively on Wes Lee. Aichner scores a devastating brainbuster and then delivers Lee to Barthel with whom he scores the Imperium Bomb which this time turns out to be the decisive one.

Result: victory by pinfall of the Imperium who then become the new NXT Tag Team Champions. Moreover, it seems he has transitioned from being ‘The Monster Among Men’ Braun Strowman to ‘The Titan’ Adam Scherr.

Now, interestingly, AEW pro-wrestlers Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn (The Gunn Club), and Serena Deeb will also be present at the event. This begs the question – does this mean Braun Strowman will join AEW soon as ‘The Titan’ Adam Scherr? The verdict is still up for grabs, but there’s a huge possibility that he will.

Scherr previously revealed during an interview with Sports Illustrated that he did have conversations with AEW and his agent about the same. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have the capacity to work a full-time schedule, and hence, needs to work with the company to find a fit that works for him.

“We’re just trying to find a fit now, where everything kind of will work together since now, there’s so many things that I’m working on in my personal life. I don’t have as much time to devote to the full-time schedule to wrestle now”.
