MAIN EVENT: Johnny Gargano speaks at the NXT Universe; Visibly excited Johnny begins by thanking the audience by saying that it is their credit that he has become who he is now. He goes on to say that he wouldn't be where he is now if it weren't for the unconditional love that the public has given him all these years.
Then he starts listing all the people he personally wants to say thanks to including Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom, Steve Corino, Sara Amato and many others. Johnny goes on to say that changes must inevitably come and in fact for example he will start his new life as a father from early February.
Before we can say what we all don't want to hear from him, Grayson Waller appears behind him and hits him in the back with a chair.
Johnny Gargano is possibly leaving WWE NXT
Johnny Gargano bid a tearful goodbye to NXT 2.0 in the final segment of the show, cutting an emotional promo about his time on the brand.
It was heartfelt and raw, with the fans cheering on his every word. So, of course, somebody had to step in, attack him, and send him packing. That was Grayson Waller. The attack also continues outside the ring where the chair is placed around the neck in Gargano and is then thrown violently against the steel steps.
Not happy Waller crashes poor Johnny into the comment table. It goes without saying that the public overwhelms him with various boos and epithets. We will therefore see if this is actually Johnny's latest ad "Wrestling" Gargano or if he will be able to take revenge on him before communicating his painful decision to the NXT Universe.
Johnny Wrestling went over his NXT career and thanked William Regal and the WWE fans for giving him a chance to become the cornerstone of the brand. He put over several individuals backstage for helping him reach where he is today.
As he finally got to the point, Grayson Waller blasted him with a steel chair. The NXT newcomer beat down Gargano and sent him through the announce table. Grayson seemed incredibly proud of his actions as the show came to a close.
Reportedly, Gargano’s contract with the company was ending on December 3rd, 2021. However, he signed a one-week extension with the company and now, his contract is ending on December 10th. Apparently, the company and Gargano are trying to negotiate a deal that will work in both their favour. So far, it’s unknown if WWE has actually offered him a deal that looks acceptable to him.
